You know I was kind of amazed with myself when I thought of this gag to use because I didn't actual think how smart it is until after I made the gag. It seems like building a trap in front of your door because you are a private-eye that rarely gets any requests to do any cases seems to be too serious when the motivate is only because you seem to not be needed as a private eye, but when I thought of a way to prolong the plot, then it got interesting. Steve's actions in panel 2 is supposed to be him cringing almost or trying to look away at the fact that the other person is taking damage to his simple rope trap.
